| Description: | The Assistant Manager, Marketing is a member of Legacy's Marketing Department, a 15-member team which directs all marketing initiatives for the organization and its truth® and EX® programs. The Assistant Manager will provide direct support to the Senior Manager, Marketing in the development and implementation of traditional and online marketing efforts for all Legacy and EX® brand initiatives through daily project management of all related jobs. The Assistant Manager will collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders and work closely with outside advertising and media agencies to support these efforts. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Provide daily project management and oversight for traditional and online marketing activities related to Legacy's EX cessation program and Legacy brand efforts.
- Manage day-to-day communications with all advertising and media agencies to provide direction and feedback regarding off-line and on-line projects.
- Provide additional marketing support as needed to internal departments including Collaboration & Outreach, Government Affairs, Research and Development.
- Provide regular updates to senior staff on all projects via status reports and in-person meetings.
- Develop and build strong relationships within the organization to coordinate efforts and identify synergies between other departments and Marketing.
- Develop and oversee the design and production of marketing support materials.
- Work closely with the Coordinator, Marketing to ensure a smooth workflow process.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED: - A strong team orientation with a positive, upbeat, professional and responsible attitude.
- Ability to manage projects through their entire life cycle in collaboration with internal and external partners and stakeholders.
- Experience developing traditional and online creative deliverables, including television/video, online, print and collateral.
- Ability to translate strategic goals of Legacy departments into actionable marketing recommendations.
- Ability to manage advertising agencies and other external partners, including traditional and interactive creative, print vendors, etc.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate project success.
- A solid design/creative sensibility.
- Experience in managing project budgets.
QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of experience in marketing and/or advertising. Agency experience in both traditional and online marketing or advertising. Excellent communication, analytic and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to handle multiple tasks independently in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented work environment.
